New to diving and have no idea where to begin just wanna learn what it takes to get my PADI certification if even required for a diving vaction trip.Thx!!

If you want to just try it out you can take the Discover Scuba with Padi and see if it is something you really want to do. If you want to take the course there are a few ways it can be done. You do need to be certified to dive.

You can start at home in your area just visit your Local Dive Shop or go online and search agencies in your area. You can then take the course and finish with your open water testing if the season allows for this. Another way to do this is take the course at home and finish your open water testing at a Padi training agency near or at a resort your planning on heading to. If your not sure where you are headed for vaction ask your travell agency and let them know this is something your looking into doing. They can check for you and let you know if the vaction area your heading has diving agencies for you and what they offer.

Note.. Padi isin't the only other Scuba agency you can get certified with. Since I know nothing about the others I am sure others here will post them for you.
