Hello folks. I am new here and I just want to introduce my self. My nick name is Letonac and I am from Croatia (small country in Europe). I have been diver for one year and I am addicted to it.

Welcome Letonic, as you will see, your English is better than most of the members of the forum, so do not worry!

I hear that the beaches in Croatia are amazing and that they haven't quite been overrun with Americans yet. Where do you dive in Europe? Or do you go somewhere else to dive? I go to Europe often but none of my European friends dive (mostly Italians).

I have been a diver for about a year and am also addicted to it. I've only been diving in Cozumel and North Carolina (my home). I'm going to Turks and Caicos in January.

Welcome, there are crazy people in here though, I must warn you.

Yes, the beaches in Croatia are very nice. As you already know I am new diver and I have only 20 dives so I can not talk too much abut nice places. I have been diving only in Dalmacija (island Hvar, Senj, etc..). and there is lot of nice places for diving. My friends (expiriences divers) told me that the most beautifully places in Croatia are islands Vis and Kornati and Istra. There is a lot of wrecks on bottom. I will send you some pictures but can someone explain how can I do this. By the way, how does it looks sea in Nort Carolina and Cozumel ? Do you have any pictures?

Thanks for the names of good sites for diving. Croatia is at the top of my list of places to travel to in the next year or so.

Letonac, I will find some nice shots of the North Carolina coast. They are above water as I don't have an underwater camera. There is a long string of barrier islands along the entire shore of North Carolina, my shots are specifically from the area where the shoreline curve sharply to the southwest.

Can someone tell me how to load pictures onto a thread?

As for Cozumel, I did my OW certification there this year. Currents are strong as in NC, but the water is much lighter and bluer. I don't have pictures from there but there are probably some on this forum. I was completely in awe when I did my dives. All of my life, I had learned about the ocean. But to see the Santa Rosa wall was incredible.

I'll post the pictures of NC when someone tells me how...

OK Letonac,

Here are a few pics of the ocean on a nice day in October. Our beaches are very "rustic". And generally, not terribly crowded even in the summer as the barrier islands don't allow for dense development. It is a dark green here. During storms the waves can get pretty high, the ocean very rough, and the surfers come out. Diving conditions can vary widely from day to day. Now, let me see if I can get these attached.

Ok, Lulubelle. I am sendiing you few pictures from Adriatic sea. Picture with many small islands represent island Hvar in general. Those small islands are also known as the "Pakleni otoci" wcich means "Devils islands". I dived "Kampanel" - big tower which start from 70 meters and finnishing at 10.
