G'day from NJ!
Hi everybody. I'm a PADI certified diver from Queensland, Australia who has recently moved to New Jersey. I'm looking forward to exploring the dive sites that this part of the world offers someone used to diving in a "fish tank".
Unfortunately, I had to leave all of my gear in Australia which means I need to buy a second set. Realistically, it was going to happen anyway because the water is a lot colder up here. I've never even thought about anything warmer than a 5mm suit before... |

Welcome aboard. You may want to check out
http://forum.scubatoys.com/northeast/. There are a bunch of us tri-staters on this forum. You won't find a "fishtank" type dive near NJ, unless your fish tank is cold, dark, and has only a couple of fish in it. Actually the NE Atlantic, especially NJ is a great place to do wreck diving. There is a lot of sea life in certain areas. Good for lobbies. Its just cold and dark. Also Dutch Springs, in PA is a great training facility. Surprisingly good vis, for a quarry, probably about 2 hours or less from your house |
