A new dive magazine by Mike Ange and Team

Hi,

I am Mike Ange and I was the training editor and a columnist (Lessons for Life, Ask an Instructor and Training Articles) at SCUBA Diving Magazine from 01 - 09. I also wrote Diver Down: Real World Scuba Accidents and How to Avoid Them (McGrawhill Publishing) and several diver/instructor training manuals for training agencies. I am also an advanced technical instructor trainer (CCR, Trimix, etc) with several agencies.

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce the forum to my latest project - a new magazine that is member supported! We are trying an experiment to see if a magazine can be supported by divers without the influence of major advertisers like equipment manufacturers and training agencies. Please take a look at our site and let us know what you think. Here are some more details.

Have you seen Seaduction.com?

Become a charter member of Seaduction.com, the fun web site for serious divers. Written and edited by divers, for divers, it is a member supported site and the only place you will find:
Mike Ange's Lessons for Life. The definitive column analyzing real-world dive accidents for the keys to safer diving. This was SCUBA Diving Magazines #1 article for 7 years. Now exclusive from the original author (2001-09) for seaduction.com members only - do not accept cheap imitations.
Professional Photo Tips. Learn the secrets to shooting better underwater images from our resident photo pro, Donald Tipton.
Insider Exclusives from the Vandenberg Project. Our divers were part of the sinking team and made the first-ever dives on the ship, just 15 minutes after she touched bottom.
Unique Travel Features. Learn more about the great big dive world, from the efforts to preserve Malaysia's Sipadan Island to a Mexican dive vacation that costs less than $1,000.
The Real Stories Other Magazines Won't Touch. Want the truth about chamber fires? We've got it. What do Fidel Castro and women's underwear have to do with the Vandenberg project? Only we can tell you. Want to go behind the scenes of the television series "Quest for Sunken Warships" Then you need to read Seaduction.com.
Expert Advice from Dive Professionals. Got a question about diving techniques? We've got the answer.
Training Articles that Treat You Like a Adult. We assume you already know how to clear your mask (you do, don't you?). So let's talk about the real issues divers face like panic, how it kills and how to stop it cold.
New content and features are being added every day, but the best stuff is reserved for our members. Register today and you can also interact with our columnists and even add your own stories to the editorial mix.

Join us at Seaduction.com, and become a charter member.
