Arizona Here

Hi, I'm Dave, I soon will be a scuba addict. I have always been very
curious and now at 29 yrs old I feel I am about to take the plunge. The
closest I've come to scuba was when my wife and I did a snuba tour in
Maui. It was awesome, I loved it! My brother-in-law suggested we get
certified together and so here I am. I thank all of you in
advance for all the knowledge you provide in every response. You guys
are great!

Hi, Dave, from another Arizonan. Where are you in Arizona? I'm in Tucson, but often head to Phoenix area to dive Lake Pleasant. Once you get certified, you should head out to Pleasant sometime. It's pretty decent diving for the desert.

I'm actually living in Coolidge now with plans of moving back to the Chandler/Gilbert area in a year or so. I'm not that far from you I guess. Did you get certified here in AZ? I f so, I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

Hey Dave - welcome to AZ diving!! I'm Mindy and live in South Chandler with my husband, Kris. We've been diving for about a year and a half and love it! If you ever need a dive buddy - we're always happy to go diving and are regulars at Lake Pleasant.

<DIV>I work with a guy from Coolidge (or the area).. And yep, we got certified here, we used Saguar Sports in Mesa and we enjoyed the class. For most of our other classes we've been using Rob and Jen at Southwest Scuba (.com) They're great- Rob is on these boards as Dive-aholic if you have any questions for him. They're out of Tucson but frequently come up to the Phoenix area. </DIV>

Hi, Dave. Sorry I haven't gotten back to this thread sooner. We've been in Mexico diving. We did get certified here in AZ and Mexico. Since then we've added a lot more dive sites. Check out our website (in my sig line) for some information on local diving.

Thanks Rob! Mindy and Kris have been very helpful and generous to me,
so the fact that they work with you guys means a lot. I really enjoyed
your site, especially the info on the various lakes you dive here other
than Pleasant. Right now, my wife, brother-in-law, and myself are
looking to get certified. There are a few issues we need to work out
between us, but I would love to speak with you about options. We'll see
what happens and I will let you know. Thanks again!
