Hello all,
I've been browsing the site for the past few days and am finally getting around to posting. I have my OW and am finishing (hopefully soon) my AOW. Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing what all I can learn (and eventually contribute) to this site. Thanks, Matthew |

Nothing in OKC that I know of, except the pool at the community college opens their deep diving pool (about 19 feet) a couple of nights a week. You have to show your cert and have a buddy.
Otherwise I'd suggest: Tenkiller (about 2 1/2 hours (sometimes less) hours away) and Clear Springs Scuba Park in Texas (about 4 depending); Blue Hole in Santa Rosa, New Mexico (about 5 1/2 hours); or Beaver Lake in Eureka Springs (about 4ish hours); or Table Rock Lake in Branson (about 5 ish hours). Blue hole is probably my favorite. It's fairly cold (about 64 degrees year round) but its clear and deep (relatively speaking). The town of Santa Rosa is easy to get to and they love the diving crowd. Plenty of clean hotels and good food. Not much else. Worth the drive though. I would also highly recommend hooking up with the Tulsa Aquanauts. If you dive any of the local sites, you're bound to run into at least a couple of them. I've not been on many dives with them, but they've really expanded the places that I been diving this year. |
