If postage to NZ is similar to Tassie, you'll find some cheap gear on ST.

Send a PM to Larry or Joe and ask them for a quote (tell them you're a forum member and they'll give you the 10%) but make sure you ask for USPS not UPS delivery (cheaper).

Some good old fashioned Cold War era rumours surround the Lermentov sinking.You remember how the Soviet fishing boats always seemed to have excessive radio equipment onboard (re spying).Same deal with Soviet cruise liners.Who knows?
Exchange rates between the $US-$NZ-$AUS are looking good at the moment.
