New Guy
Lived on the Gulf Coast (Gulf of Mexico) for a few years, got certified last year in '06, after retiring and believing diving would be much better than taking up golf, but then went overseas, so I am back, and going about getting my gear. At this point any recommendations would be appreciated.

Welcome to the board. The best way to solicit advice on equipment is to explain the type of diving you'll be doing and ask specific questions. We've got more than a few folks around here who love to talk about diving and gear
