Just a bit south...

Down here in Houston, gateway to just about anyplace. Enjoy reef diving but have to admit that Spiegel Grove was pretty impressive, so will be adding more wrecks to my schedule. Generally do two weeks in Bonaire every spring (in time for the mosquitos), with some 3 day weekends to other places on occasion. Enjoy casual undwater photography and dive with a compact camera and housing on nearly every dive. Dive a DIR singles rig with exception of using yoke mount 1st and gas monitoring - I use a Cobra and a wireless Vytec. Dive with my wife, mostly (who isn't a DIR fan). Nitrox and AOW certs. Fundies next year.

Thinking about doing fundies in Bonaire with Benjy Schwaub instead of Key Largo with MM. Benjy is a good instructor. Either way I'll do a write up when I get done.

Hello,
Guess i'm sorta in your "neck of the woods". I am in Austin, new to the forum here. I got cert last year and have about 18 dives in so far. Cozumel and Lake Travis (whoo hoo). Cozumel is great.....looking forward to Bonaire in the future though. Any suggestions as far as dive shops, great areas, etc?

Just search the forum, get all the info about Bonaire that you can handle... I can't wait to get back... it's tops.
