Hello from beautiful Sachse, Texas!

Hi everyone! My wife and 2 of our kids were just certified with ST about 3 weeks ago. Now we want to go somewhere really good. Any suggestions?

Join a dive club (Diving Rebels, FINZ, Swamp Divers, or my favorite, ScubaDillos). These clubs often have great trips at reasonable prices. ST sets up a couple trips per year as well.

If all else fails...Cozumel. Check here and at ST to get receomendations for a good diver operator.

Welcome to ST! Congrats on your OW cert! I'm just a few mins North of you. Also, if you got your cert w/ ST, you already know about CSSP. There are several of us that go there pretty often.

Cozumel is where my wife wants to go. One of her friends at work is in a dive club and after she saw the pictures from HER trip to Cozumel and compared that to CSSP where we did our open water cert, it looks like I need to start working some overtime...

You're going to end up like me.... I got certified so that I could dive Cozumel and Grand Cayman with some friends of mine who have been diving for a long time.

I got down there and had the time of my life in that clear, warm blue water! But now that I have to dive these cold mudholes with we call lakes, and see such exotic fish like catfish and perch... Every day I try to figure out a way for me to get back the Carribean...

Welcome to the boards! There's nothing but great people here!

Congrat's. Chalk up another suggestion for Cozumel. I'll suggest Papa Hog's to dive with, they do an awesome job with new divers (and experienced divers too). My first dives were in CZM and with PH.
