Welcome and where in Central Florida? We mostly dive south....but the Ft Pierce area is nice in the summer. We're also closer to the springs...Off shore about 20 miles are some great hunting reefs (80-140ft). Only a few charter boats go there....mostly private divers

Welcome to the board, Kasi! There's lots of diving all over Florida. Depending on where you're at in Central Florida, you can head either to the Atlantic or the Gulf. The Atlantic offers some boat diving opportunities. Visibility won't be as good as down south, but there are some wrecks out there. You'll find some shore diving on the Gulf coast, but the visibility is even worse. However, you might be able to find some shark teeth. Check out Venice Beach for diving there. You also have lots of springs starting just north of Orlando. They are almost always in good shape to dive. And the visibility is almost always great!

I lived in Orlando for a long time and I have to second what has already been said. The great thing about Central Florida is well.... that it's central :-)) It's a good base to be able to hit just about anywhere in Florida that you want to go dive :-)

Welcome to the board!
