Welcome to the board. Cold water lake diving is different, but fun. If you try it, I am sure you would enjoy youself. It allows you to dive near your home, stay sharp on your skills and experience a little different tye of diving. If you enjoy diving as much as the rest of us it will probably be a matter of time. Those once or twice a year trips just don;t seem to be enough.
Again, welcome.

Welcome to the board! There's nothing wrong with only diving in warm waters. But you don't give up on cold water lake diving without trying it. Actually, Lake Pleasant isn't so cold in the summer. I've been diving in Lake Pleasant in nothing but a swim suit before. It's not the greatest diving, but it's better than not diving. I just can't go more than 2 weeks without diving. And even 2 weeks is tough to do! Check out a website I created: Southwest Scuba when we lived and dived in Arizona. There's quite a bit of information there on diving in the Arizona lakes.
