Hello, I'm another newbe with just 9 dives spread between a quarry, Lake Michigan wrecks, and Destin Florida. I have cought the bug now I just have to find some buddies!

Are you nuts??

The water temps will be sub 40 and possibly thin ice cover. Unless you have a dry suit and a lot of gumption the only diving you can do is in a local pool

Personally if it isn't sunny and warm enough for a 7mm or less suit I won't go, but more power to those of you who want to be Polar Bears!!
