Laguna Beach Oct 6?

Hey anyone up for a dive early in the morning at Laguna Beach - October 6, Saturday?

I have a meeting at 10.30 so must be back by then.

but would love to get a dive or two in before then.

Whats the diving like off Laguna, We visit that beach every year (as beach bums) since becoming cert. We went to catalina instead this year. but would like to give that spot a try.

Wish I would have found this post earlier. I tend to visit Laguna pretty often because I have been training for my OW and now my AOW at Laguna Sea Sports. Maybe we can meet at the shop or at Shaw's Cove some time.

I actually enjoy diving at Laguna Beach, although I have been on very few dives. I have been diving at Shaw's Cove and the conditions have been pretty decent lately. I mostly find urchins and garabaldi around the reef but I have found bass, lobsters, stingrays, slugs, shell fish, eels and other life as well. Of course, the diving doesn't compare to Catalina but it's nice for casual diving when you don't want to pay for a boat ride or you want to concentrate on rescue and other skills.
