Talking Very impressed with Pinnacle

I've read a few reviews of the Pinnacle Merino Elastoprene wetsuit and have been intrigued. I've been telling my husband we need to check these things out, and finally yesterday got to do that at the dive show in Tacoma, WA. I have to say that although we haven't tried them on, both of us extremely impressed with how they are put together, the quality of materials and construction, and are completely sold on trying one (with the intention of purchase) later this year.

I think that they are a well made suit, I love the really think padding at the zipper.

I really did want one.

I tried them on in women's & men's but I could not get one to fit me. They do have tall size in women's but I am too long in the torso to fit my size.

When it comes right down to it, "fit" is all that matters. The wetsuit can be made of the best materials and have some nice tape on the seams but a more poorly constructed suit that fits you better will be warmmer. Every brand is cut slightly different.

I am always a bit amused at wetsuit ads. They seem to get you all the reasons to buy their suit except for the one that matters.

My husband dives a 3mm Pinnacle with the merino (as well as merino boots) and won't quit telling me what I'm missing! One of these days I'll give it a try, one of these days

Yeah, the kicker is always fit, but both my husband and I fit into the size chart perfectly, so we're very hopeful. He has to get a new wetsuit this fall for sure, and if I've finished losing weight, I will need one too, otherwise I'll get a new suit next fall (2009).

I have the 3mm Seal w/Merino, and absolutely love the fit and construction. It's not the Elastiprene version, but still a beautifully made suit.

I have a Pinnacle Seal and the Fusion. Love them both. I recently purchased the EVO 2 drysuit. IMHO you can't go wrong with Pinnacle construction, fit, and customer service.
