Pinnacle Seal and Hooded Vest

Hey everyone. I just bought both my wife and myself new Pinnacle Seal suits and Pinnacle Hooded Vests. They didn't get here in time for our dive last weekend so we were still stuck with rentals for that dive. But... The wait seems worth it! All of it looks really well made. And the knee pads on the suits look like they will actually work, unlike some of that cheesy decorative crap that's on most of the other suits I've used. I'm planning on getting them wet within the next 2 weeks or so. I'll let you guys know how it all works out after that! Oh, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy they were to get on with and without a skin underneath. The only part that sucks is having to buy 2 of everything. I can post some detailed pix of the suits after I get home from work if anyone is interested.

I would like to see pictures. Did the fit match their sizing chart. We are thinking about getting the same suits. I feel your pain about 2 of everything. So far I have found some great deals on our BCD's. We both got use/new Zeagle BCD (Ranger & Zena) for right at $500. Getting our gear as I find the deals.

I have a Breaker, and the sizing chart for that matched my measurements pretty well.

I bought the size medium. I'm 5'6", ~150lbs, 32" waist and it fits pretty true to their size chart. The legs are just a bit long for me, but they say the medium is for 5'7"-5'"11, so that makes sense. I was just at the high end of the small size, so I went for the medium and glad I did. The vest and my Akona skin fit just fine under the suit. Also, the neck seals for the suit and the skin look great. I'll post pix of all that stuff later. I'm back at work now, so it will have to wait.

I bought my wife size Ladies Medium Short. Pinnacle didn't have that size listed on their size chart, but I figured I'd give it a shot and sure enough it arrived saying "Ladies MS". She hasn't tried it on yet (trying on wetsuits is one of her least favorite things to do ). Hopefully she will get to that today... I'll let you know how it fits her later.

I have the seal and hooded vest as well and the sizing chart was right on for me. I have the ML Merino Seal but I also hit the numbers in every category. 5'10" 170lbs, 42 in chest, 32 waist, and 30 inseam. So for me it was a no brainer. I did get a large vest though because of the neck seal size. The ML fit but felt a little too snug around the neck so I went up a size.

I love the construction, they seem really well made, and the merino lining makes it go on and off very easy. The easiest wetsuit I have used.

I have the same set up, I have used the suit several times, just not had the occasion to use the vest yet. Let us know what you think when you use it.

I own the Fusion & Seal, along with the EVO 2 drysuit. I have only worn Pinnacle WS and so far I have absolutely no complaints. Oh, I forgot ScubaPro WS for OW cert, but didn't like the fit. My daughter wears the Pinnacle Cruiser 5mm and has tried several brands, and got the best fit from Pinnacle. She is tall/skinny. (I remember those days from long, long ago)

The vested hood was very tight for me as my neck was a bit large. What I did was got a standalone merino vest and a merino hood and sewed it together. As for pinnacle's wetsuit, my only complain is I didn't like the ankle zippers. As for the drysuit, I haven't tried it as I haven't gotten it. Did tried my instructor's DUI which was nice of him and was nice and comfortable. Can't wait to try out the merino underwear.

While I really do like the Breaker, my only complain would be the neck with the fold down collar. It's brilliant at keeping water flushing to a minimum, and works great in the water, but above water, it's pretty annoying. I usually just peel the suit to my waist until I'm ready to dive.
