honestly, I see people diving in the Bahamas in 5mm suits to just swimsuits. It is all about what is comfortable to you.
Personally, I never ever dive in less than a 3mm suit - protects my body from any of those scary floaties in the water (jellies, sea wasps, etc) and also from accidentally brushing against something that will hurt and draw blood (coral, fire coral, hydroids, etc.).
Also, I usually do more than 2 dives per day and that means my core temp will be dropping continuously throughout the day (and it takes a full 24 hours out of the water to get your temp back up to normal). So that means even if the water is 84 degrees, I will be getting colder by the night dive and each successive day a bit more.
So take at least a 3mm fullsuit with you. That is my personal req. You could also take a shortie to use the first day or two if you want. Then if you start getting cold, switch to the fullsuit.

just my 2 cents.

we used 3/2's on our trip to Bonaire - six straight days of diving and we were averaging 4 or more per day - the last couple of days, my wife was getting chilled easier - next time we are taking her a 5mm

so I would recommend at a minimum the 3mm full with that much planned diving

I like a 3mm full suit, and would recommend it.
