Bare Brigade 3/2mm vs. Bare Brigade shorty 2mm vs. Henderson 3mm
I'm about to place an order for a 7mil wetsui suit and dive computer, and I thought I may as well throw in a thin wetsuit for warm water diving. I noticed there are a few great deals here on ST on these 3. Get your votes in guys. From what I heard, Bare is great for cold water diving. So I'm thinking does Henderson know warm water diving better (based in California?)
Or, is this a Thermoprene vs. Neoprene decision? (What are the pros and cons anyway). K, so if these 3 were your choices, which one would you go for? I'm leaning towards Bare 3/2, but...... i have a brigade 3/2 - works very well for the dives I have used it for - used it in the Keys last summer and in Bonaire last week - never really got chilled except when we hit 100' in Bonaire
what are you going to use the light suit for? and how much do you want to spend? those would be the questions you need to ask. If you are going to be using it for several days in a row diving, you may want the full suit since your core temp will be affected. |

I'm leaning more towards one of the Bare ones - reason - the sizing chart seems to be working out better for me. Bare has a ML size which I believe will fit me well, while Henderson is pushing me in either M or L

I am 5-10/190-200 pounds (right now, but working on dropping a few) and a large Bare 3/2 like you are looking at fit me perfect
The yellow really shows up under water - my wife and I have been teased several times for wearing them (ST's was out of blue when I ordered last summer) |

Just to close the thread, I went for Bare Brigade Shorty Mens 2 mil Wetsuit, Wetsuits: Men, Bare, Bare Brigade Shorty Mens 2 mil Wetsuit mostly because of the sizes. As I am buying online, Henderson charts didnt give me enough flexibility, so I went with Bare. Thanks all for tips
