Henderson Hyperstretch worth the $?

I've been diving for 10 years and have always worn relatively inexpensive wet suits. I'm thinking about buy a new shorty and I'm looking at the Hyperstretch because of comfort. Is it worth the extra money? Thoughts?

I use a 3 mil Henderson HS as a upper layer over another wetsuit when at home. The stretch makes it easier to get on and off IMHO. When I'm diving warmer waters I just use the shorty. After 3 years, it still has all of it's stretch. Henderson's are $$, but it depends on the diving as well.

hope this helps.

Thanks for the input gents. It's good to know that even after some use the stretch is still there. Any other thoughts anyone?

If you're wanting comfort, you can't beat the Henderson Hyperstretch.

No, it's not worth it. Maybe for a full suit, but not a shorty. Even the cheap shorties are relavtivly comfortable and easy to don/doff.

Do not pay full price as there is now Hyperstretch II coming out. So the other should be on sale.

A Hyperstretch 7/5 was my first wetsuit (now worn out). After owning 2 other wetsuits (neither of them Hyperstretch), I no longer think they are worth the extra $$.

Thanks everyone - I think I've decided against it - gonna go for a less expensive one - unless someone can convince me otherwise.

Take a look at the Thermoprene line:

Henderson Thermoprene 3mm Shorty Mens 2007 BLUE ONLY, Henderson

Side by side, it's only moderatly less stretchy than the Hyperflex, but comes at a fraction of the price. 2007 models are on sale still. I dont know what sizes are left...
