Bare 7mm Arctic full suit combo

Has anyone had any experience with this? The suit looks good, I am just worried about the hooded vest. It looks like the zipper going all the way up to my face would get annoying. I was wondering how people feel about this or if anyone has any experiences with anything similar? I thought about checking to see if it would be possible to get just the wetsuit and then switch the hooded vest out for one without a zipper.

I bought just the hooded core warmer (7 mil) to wear over my 3mil farmer john, when I dive in cold water. It took me a while to get used to the 7 mil hood. The zipper does not cause any discomfort for me.

I have two friends who have the suit and rave about how great it is. They both said the zipper on the cheek was a little odd, but not uncomfortable. They said they got used to it quickly and it no longer bothers them in the slightest.

Thanks for the input. I am just used to the old style cold water survival suits that have a zipper up to your nose and then a velcro strap that goes across your face.

I love the look and fit of the suit and will probably go ahead and try out the combo since the hooded vest sounds like a good product.

I tried it on, and decided the zipper was just a little weird for me. I ended up with, and like, the Pinnacle 7mm Escape farmer john with a Henderson 5mm Hyperstretch hood.

I have the BARE arctic 7mil full suit without the attached hood. The suit itself is great! I bought a 5mil hood that I wear over the top. This has worked great for me so far.

Sorry, I cant offer any advice about the specific model you are looking at.

I love mine, the zipper is wierd to me too. I dont wear my vest that often, but Im going to start for the deeper dives so I can get used to it.

I have a Bare 7mm and was thinking about getting the matching vest. When I tried it on, it felt like the zipper, and the wad of neoprene padding around the zipper which rested on my cheek, would be uncomfortable. I ended up with a Waterproof hooded vest, which I find much more comfortable.

I have the suit and the hooded vest. The zipper on the vest was a bit bothersome at first, but I got used to it quickly and it is no longer a problem.

The suit fits very snugly, and it is more difficult to take it off than my old Hyperstretch 7/5. Other than that, I love it. It has extended my diving season at a local lake by several weeks per year.
