I have two pair... akona Tekniarmor which are nice, tough, and have a velcro wrist closer..

also a pair of hyperstretch gloves. They are nice, but the fingers are pile-ing due to repeat contact with the velcro on my cumberbund and they now catch on various sea-creatures and rocks with barnicles and what not.. which is why i got the other pair

I was in the LDS yesterday and tried on a pair of henderson insta-dry gloves.... wow.. they are nice.... might not be too ruggeg but they are comfy. The LDS guy said they are very warm and give the equivalent warmth of the next thicker glove due to their construction and they way they seal nicely... they dont look to durable, and they were pricey.. may consider them

I have two pairs also - for colder water

http://www.xsscuba.com/neo_gloves.html 5mm XS Scuba RynoHyde

For warmer water I use a pair of paddling gloves:

MEC Power Phase Paddling Gloves Great for warm water, and much chepaer than reef gloves.

Don't usually wear gloves, but when I need them I simply use a pair of gardening gloves. The kind with the cloth back and rubber palms are the best.

I have a regular ole pair of sports gloves for warm water- but for cold water I have the 5mm Henderson Insta-dry's. Yes- they are comfy, and very warm. They are a pain in the @$% to get on though.

when I do dive colder water, my hands are immune to it, so I have a pair of Tusa reef gloves I wear on every dive... very thin, rugged and comfortable...

I use a pair of akona gloves, I would guess that they are like 1 or 2mm b/c they are not overly protective, but are good when diving in wpb where there are fast currents, and sometimes you have to set the flag into the ground (didnt wear gloves once, and paid for it, got stung by the coral, and then got an infection afterwards, it was not fun!)

Also will use them to pull myself down in the devils ear system, at Ginnie Springs, and then will take them off once I am inside the cavern.

Pinnacle 3mm Elastiprene Attack Gloves...they are awesome...incredibly dexterous, and very grippy.

I have a pair of Neosport 3mm gloves that work pretty well in 55+ degree water. I prefer to use them with my camera. My other set is a pair of 7mm Hyperstretch gloves that are really nice, but aren't as good with my camera and seem to be starting to fall apart after a year or so of pretty heavy use.

This kind of depends on where you are diving. When I'm diving in the Caribbean or Florida I don't wear gloves. If I'm diving in Canada I wear Whites 5mm Heat Gloves. http://www.whitesdiving.com/index.ph...id=118&cid=285

Are you just looking for what everyone is wearing or WHY they wear what they do?
