trimming the neck of a hood - Scuba Forum

My drysuit hood, to be used on a wetsuit, is a tad long on the bottom. It's got a 3mm strip across the bottom, similar to the one on the face part. Can this be trimmed so its not rolled up under my wetsuit? I don't want to cut off something I shouldn't be.

Yup. A dab of aquaseal can help avoid unraveling, if you have to cut any sewn seams.

Just be careful and don't take off more than you want... better to trim a little bit twice than hack off a bit too much once.

I'll probably put it on my neck and draw a line around it if I can cut it then. where can I get aquaseal at?
