I just went to go for a dive with a couple buddies. I started pulling gear from my bag when a terrible stench punched my in the face. MY WIFES GOD DAMNED CAT PISSED ALL OVER MY DIVE BAG!!! Anyone have the same experience??? What the hell can i use to get that smell out? I think I may take the cat on my next dive!!!

they sometimes like to pee on wet things....
there's a thing out there called Natures Miracle, it's an enzyme cleaner that does a good job of getting the smell out. available in pet shops. there's also urine gone, which is kinda the same thing. |

![]() As you can prob'ly tell, I hate cats. I've offered to take a number of them diving with me. You will probably have to get rid of that bag, I had a backpack that I lent to a friend and his cat pissed on it. I tried everything but could never get rid of the smell. ![]() |

Try Sink the Stink or Mirazme. Both won't harm your gear, and work to get rid of urine smells. If those don't work, there are some citrus based cleaners that you can buy in pet stores that get the odor out.
It is not the cats fault, and I highly doubt it is maliciously peeing on your stuff. Wet gear has an odor that attracts them, and they are animals--they are following their instincts. Going forward, all you can do is keep your gear in an area the furballs don't have access to. |

Yes I have had this expirience, I found after 2 dives most of the stench was gone but boyyy was I friggin pissed!!! Lets just say those cats had a very very bad day. I threw them all over the house for that one, stupid roommates cats (im getting a dog soon ohh sweet revenge) I got some sink the stink, and will be using that soon. Still am absolutely pissed at the cats!!!
