Can someone recommend a pair of gloves for me?
<DIV></DIV> <DIV>Looking for warm water gloves, warmth NOT an issue, something very thin--just enough to protect me from rocks, sharp stuff, etc.</DIV> <DIV></DIV> <DIV>Thanks in advance.</DIV>

One of the best thingsI have for warm water diving is a pair of "waterski" gloves. Doing allot of river dives we have ton's of zebra mussels which are like little razorblades.
<DIV>The gloves are thin enough to have a good feel, have a leather like palm for good durability, and being waterski gloves are designed to be wet.</DIV> <DIV></DIV> |

Of course I agree that you generally shouldn't be touching stuff--and especially reefs. However, I do find in my dive experience, mostly fresh water, that there is incidental contact with rocks, etc. I would like some "just in case" protection for my hands.
<DIV></DIV> <DIV>Thanks for the suggestions.</DIV>

I dove with these last week. I think they were $4 at Lowes. They did the trick |

Waterski gloves are usually stiched for curved fingers, which at the outset is fine, but as they age, the palms prefer their curled position, and they are harder to straighten out your hand in. But they are BOMBPROOF, especially if you will be clutching something a lot. I use both them and a pair of nitrile garden gloves, depending on the situation.
