Air in hood

I seem to be getting air trapped in my hood and its driving me nuts.

Is it something i am doing, or is there a way to combat this?

Thanks,
Jas.

You can either poke a small hole in the top of the hood or put a small slit in it with a razor blade. This will allow the air to escape from the hood.

What size hole would you recommend?

Good point, the hole in the hood works great.

Also consider that if you wear your mask under your hood with your snorkel on or even just the snorkel keeper that your exhaust air will get up in the hood through this breach in the hoods seal.

I always just took a nail with a pliers, then heated it up with a torch and burned a small hole through. I always worried that the slit would either keep ripping, or would not let the air out... good to know that way works too...

The nail burning through makes a nice sealed hole... but it does smell a bit!

Thanks WV....i will try to be a bit more aware of that.
I try to keep my hair out of it, but hadnt put much thought into keeping the mask from getting under the hood.

Does the hole in the top allow much water into the hood?
