Wetsuit hood or drysuit hood with a semi-dry suit?

Would the neck seal still be able to do it's job if you were wearing a wetsuit hood with a semi-dry suit? Or is a semi-dry best worn with a drysuit hood?

Thanks!

The only semi-dry I've had contact with is my son's.
The neck seal will not allow a wet hood to tuck inside.
My dry hood works well with it.

You can use a regular wet hood but you can't tuck it in. I did this with mine for about a year and then started diving dry so I now use the dry for both. If you get a dry hood I would suggest getting one that has a zipper in it. Much easier to get in and out of.

Yep, gonna defeat the purpose of a semi if you tuck the hood. My Mares came with a dry hood but it didn't fit really well so I sold it and bought a BAre zippered hood...LOVE IT. You can tuck the bib of the regular hood under your shoulder straps.

Mmm...definitely a dry suit hood. As said before, you'd be breaking the seal of the semi...
