I have a Hyperstretch 3mil hood. Both the size Small and Medium felt the same to me. I talked to Joe about it (he happened to be nearby) and asked him about fit. He responded that because it's Hyperstretch, either was going to do fine. The Small has a little smaller face "hole" than the Medium. I got the Medium. My hat size is 7-3/8

I got a 5mm hood with my 3mm Hyperstretch, because I knew the dives when I needed the hood would be in FL spring water (high 60's low 70's water temp, COLD for me). It fits great, and keeps me nice and toasty.
