Wetsuit sizes?

I have a 3mm Bare (Large Tall) suit.

Need to get a 7mm.

I've been told that I should get a size larger for the 7mm. Is that true?

What if I get a hyperstretch? Does that eliminate the need for larger sizing?

The first thing I bought was a Tillos Dive skin from Scuba Toys...I found the size was perfect. When it was time to buy the wetsuit I bought the same size-Tilos 7/5 semi dry. Buying the same size worked for me. I guess the next best thing to trying it on would be to call the store and talk to the guys-They would know best.

I found that stores encourage you to come in and try. And after a while you get hot and sweaty trying to do that.
Since you mentioned BARE, call them. tell them your concerns and double check their size chart. I can vouche that tgeir size charts run stable and true. So a 7mil will fit the same way a 3, or 5 will.
I waa abit leary as well and I am ordering their 7 mil ladies artic and they say it will fit exactly the same.
The only adjustment you will have to make is on your BC belts to allow for the little extra thickness.

I have a Bare 5/4 and when I bought it I talked to Scubatoys. I wasn't sure if I should go XL or XXL. They told me to go by the weight chart. So I went with the XL and it fits fine. I become a big fan of the Bare line and have bought two of there suits in the last years.
