Hood that doesn't pull hair

Does anyone have any suggestions for a hood that doesn't pull half your hair out when you're taking it off after a dive? It would need to be a 7MM hood since I'm diving in the North East and it's cold here. I have a Bare 7MM hood, but I'll be bald soon if I keep using it. There has to be something that keeps the heat in but doesn't yank my hair. Any suggestions??

strange problem. i never had problem with either pinnacle or bare hoods. maybe because i don't have long hair. how do you take it out? pulling it out? if that's the case than i would not be surprised by your problem. try to take it out from the neck area so that once taken out it's inside out. there is no pull on the hair this way.

I wear the Henderson Hyperstretch and have no problems. I do have long hair but like subsur said take it off from the bottom so it ends up inside out.

I have longer hair for a guy (think surfer-brah), and my Henderson Hyperstretch hood gives me no problems!

Your other option if you don't want to buy a new hood, would be to get a very thin lycra hood and toss that on first. That would make things slip and slide a bit better when you putting it on and off.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I do take it off from the neck up and kind of roll it up and off, but the hair right around my face seems to get grabbed by the rubbery feeling bit of the hood that goes directly around my face, so that's where it yanks it out. I was looking at those merino lined pinnacle hoods today, but since a couple of different people mentioned it, I think I'll give the hyperstretch a try.

I have a lot of hair and really long hair too (goes past the bra strap clasp). I have a henderson hood and an O'neil hooded vest. But I also put a little bit of conditioner in my hair before putting it on. I wasn't doing it to prevent hair getting pulled, I was doing it b/c my hair was getting damaged from too much salt LOL. But it does help slide the hood on/off.

I have long hair. No trouble with pulling lots of hair when removing my hood. I do tuck in hair that has made it's way out from around the face before pulling the hood off. I always wear my hair in a french braid or regular braid under the hood. Like the idea of conditioner...I bet it also helps with combing out your hair.

I have long hair - I'm a new diver, but I dove with a Henserson Hyperstretch hood last weekend and didn't ahve any problems. MY prboel is actually getting all my hair to stay inside of the hood. I kept getting little whisps coming out and floating around my face.
