Hard sole boots?

Are the hard sole boots only for cold water dives? One of my local dive shops has some on sale and I was looking at them today but didnt know if they would work for all dives?

No, they can be used for any dive!

As long as your foot w/ the hard sole booties on still fits in your fin comfortably theyd be just fine!

I have hardsole booties Ive used for years. They are nice to be able to walk around in without worrying on stepping on something painful. Another very good advantage of them is it makes shore dives much easier - while stepping over rocks, shells, and hot pavement!

Scubatoys sells some Bare Ice boots that are nice...hard sole like a tennis shoe, make sure they fit in your fin hole though before you buy them!

Bare 6mm Premium Ice Boot, Boots Hoods Gloves, Bare, Bare 6mm Premium Ice Boot

I own a pair and they are very good boots...

The only problem is I dont have any fins yet. Ive been using the XL Scuba Pro twin jet fins for my dives and ive been wearing some water shoes that I had, the dive shop I rent from doesnt have a pair 13-14 dive boot.

You would definitely like some hard sole boots. If you go somewhere like Bonaire, you're walking across rocks and coral rubble to get in the water. Hard sole boots are an absolute must. Quarries also...you would probably want hard soles.

Do you mean DUI rock boots or something similar? Some of my friends have the rock boots and want to switch back over to the normal tubo soles. The rock boots seem to add another layer of cluster to a dive. Plus you need an oversized fin foot pocket for them.

The hard soled boots are good for warm water diving too. In a place like Bonaire where you can have a rocky shore entry you'll be very glad to have them.
