Hydro Atlantic Dive report

Seas very choppy, 3-5 ft, (subjective) boat driver almost called the dive because of the conditions he later said. water temp 75-77 degrees, vis on wreck 75+ with current Uneventful deco.... except I had a O-ring that hadn't properly sealed so I lost about 500lb from my deco bottle(thank you for DIN) 22 minutes BT really impressive wreck, lots of line filament. bring cutting devises. going down the water column lost my buddy at around 30ft. picked him back up around 100ft. current++ so I stayed forward of super structure. Lots to see and do there. HA sits at 172ft. If you've never been o Fill Express: GO!! Lots of toys! Lady do Diver verygood operation Capt Nick Palmer dropped us right on the wreck

Yea Tex just one. Wanted to do another but the powers that be didn't plan it that way. A little pricey at $85. but what can I say. I'll dive her again as soon as I can. Dixie Divers does some wrecks a couple of times a month. There are a few of us that only need a boat ride. Can't wait 'till next weekend!!

Gas cost...Just do the math, most boats get between .5 to 1 mile per gallon. If you run 10 miles to the wreck and 10 miles back, that is 20 miles round trip.

20 miles = 30 gallons of fuel (avearge .75 mi per gallon)
30 gal * $5 per gallon (marina fuel) = $150 in fuel for one trip

Be glad that you were on the Atlantic side of Florida. On the Gulf side they have to run 100 miles for water that deep.

And we can run 40+ miles up here in NC for the 100 - 130 fsw wrecks.
