Yea... I know. drift diving is not wreck diving but I didn't know where else to file this report. I went out with these guys: Jupiter Dive Center, Scuba diving lessons at a PADI 5 Star facility, daily scuba diving trips in Jupiter, Florida. They have a shop right on the water. very convenient!! Met up with the guys from Dayo scuba, TJ and Dinny and A trimix diver or 2 working toward that cert. 1st dive was to a place they call "Hole In the Wall" About a 50ft swim though at 130ft. WE got dropped about 1/4 of a mile away and drifted to it. What makes this dive interesting is the shelves: One at 120 another at 130 and one at 140. lLooking to the East we saw nothing but very blue water. WE dropped like rocks as the current was veeery significant 2+ easily. after about minutes the rock formation was easy to recognize. Vis was top to bottom seas 1-2ft chops. mix was 28% deco on 80. all went pretty well until 2 liftbags malfuctioned on deployment. Nothing we couldn't handle.(as a group) Usually ther are grouper or shark in the area. today only sharks we spotted during deco.
2nd dive was a relaxing 80 footer. lasting about 50 minutes. Lots of smaller animals. water temp 77 on both. Dayo has a site Dayo Scuba - Orlando Florida - Open Water, Cavern, Cave and Technical Scuba Training and Diving - Main Page they train people from all over the world. Check out the pics ![]() ![]()
