Great video...

"The ship was found between Niagara and Rochester, NY in an area of the lake where the depth extends to more than 500 feet."

Too bad its so deep-It looks like a great wreck to see.

what would be the big deal if it was shallower so divers could see it? provided the respected the wreck like we all were taught

The sad side is many a fellow divers 'do damage' to fragile dive sites....and this is in that category. Not just through ignorance but through sheer numbers of divers and purposeful destruction and looting. The only reasons this site is intact as much as it is, is 'depth'....protection from the ravages of the waters--storms/ice and from natural light and very low amounts of O2 in the water, plus a host of other reasons. There are thousands of wreck sites in The Lakes reachable by both recreational and technical divers of all skill levels to explore....I am SO happy this one is beyond the average Joe.
