North Carolina wreck dive trip May 16 & 17

Dive trip. May 16 and 17

Six of us planned a trip to Morehead City a few weeks ago to dive wrecks. Since we made the boat and hotel reservations, two people have backed out for personal reasons. So, unless we can find two people to replace them, we may have to cancel the trip and lose our deposits. This is a great opportunity to see a variety of WWII wrecks and hang out with a great group of people on a fast dive boat.

Leaving Atlantic Beach around 7:30AM on Saturday May 16, returning 4:00PM each day. We will pick the wrecks we want to dive, there will be two dives per charter. This an advanced level dive trip, no need to be wreck certified.
If you want to do some advanced certifications talk to me I can help you with that. There are a number of wrecks out there, some within 30 minutes, some within 4 hours. There is a fuel surcharge for the wrecks that are further than the Papoose. Check out the web site.

Charter Prices

Team:
So far we have 4 people signed up; this is a 6-pack boat: we need 2 more.

Cost:
The boat is about $850 for 6 divers per day (including some fuel surcharge for a “normal” trip) add to that about $20 per day for tip.

Boat: $140 x 2 days = $280
Hotel:$40/night (for double occupancy at $80/night)

Total per person for the trip budget: $360 plus tips

Lodging:
We have three double occupancy rooms booked at Hollowell’s Motel on Friday night and Saturday night Hollowell's Family Motel

I suggest you post this on the forum at NCDivers.com. You might have a shot at selling the boat spots if not the hotel rooms. Also a lot of charters keep a list of customers that they will call to fill last minute cancellations. They can often fill the empty spaces. That's the way a lot of local divers do it since we're not going to book a weekend months in advance and the charters do fill up. So we wait for the inevitable cancellations. A lot of times the charter operators will sell these spots to us for cheaper than the usual rate.
