Wrecks that haven't been "cleaned"?

Just wondering if there are any wrecks out there maybe in the gulf of mexico that were sunk by accident for whatever reason and not a wreck that was sunk on purpose? And also, how would a person go about finding where these wrecks might be at?

I dont know If the "natural" wrecks are any better then the planned ones. Do you live close to PC? If so, most the dive shops in the region have a book called "Scuba Panama City". $8. Describes all the wrecks off the coast. VERY good information.

I know of 3 that are natural, may be more.

Tarpon
Commander
Leroy (not much left)

EDIT:

Ha, Sorry, didn't recognize your name for a second. Ya plannin a trip down here to PC? How'd you like Vortex?

I might take you up on that.

Oh, there's a dive shop in PC that will do a boat dive with a min of 3 people, even in the winter. They have a website. Google "The Dive Locker". Good folks. Brand new boat... Nice alternative to Vortex. heh We are trying to get together a night dive end of January. Ill shoot you a PM if things get set in stone.

O ok sounds good. Let me know the date and price. I will not be able to make it if I have got to work at the fd,but will try my best to make it though. If not this trip, if another is planned then let me know and maybe I will have some vacation time built up that I can take a day off.
