Hyde and Markham trip

I went on a half day charter out Wilmington on Sunday. We dove the Hyde and Markham which are in ~80fsw about 18nm from the inlet and are considered beginning wreck dives. Here's a video that my buddy shot. I'm the stroke in the blue fins.

Call me soft. But, any dive that starts with me seeing the condensation from my breath does not sound like fun 8-). I like those 90 degree days.

Water was an unbelievably warm 57. We expected about 49 or 50 but apparently the currents were kind and brought some gulf stream water in a little closer than normal. Air temp was about 70. Great dives. I was only cold once and a burst of air in the drysuit fixed that pretty quick. A lot of people were diving wet and I did see some shivering back on the boat.

Sounds like you really got lucky with the weather and water temps. Glad to hear and see how awesome the dive was. Thanks again for sharing.
