Would be helpful to know where you are at... As shipping a tank can make it not worthwhile a lot of the times....

first of all, welcome to the forum. Now on to your question. You have essentially 3 choices for a tank: 1) buy one from a local dive shop. Most Aluminum 80's are going for around $199. 2) Buy one online from an online dealer...Like Scubatoys!!! Their AL80's are $149.95 plus about $40 shipping. Aluminum 80 Tank reviews and discounts, Luxfer
Your last usual choice is Ebay. This to me is your worst choice. A lot of tanks on ebay are the older aluminum 80's that have problems due to age and sustained load cracks. SLC is bad news and a lot of places that you can get on filled will not fill the pre-89 tanks anymore. Also, even though it appears that your plan is air rifle not diving, you still have to follow the DOT testing requirements of annual visual inspections and eddy current testing as well as 5 year hydorstatic testing. Theses requirements are DOT based, not dive industry based as DOT covers the transportation of compressed gas cylinders. Good luck and happy shooting.
