Is ST going to carry this compass? I like it but don't know if i can replace the one in my console with it.

I would say not to put it in a console. Put it on a wrist or on your hose - it is much easier and accurate to work with in those positions.

I've got both--one in my console and one for my wrist. Obviously I don't wear them both at once, that's overkill. But I don't mind the console one so much, actually.

I was going to offer mine up for sale, but then I realized that could be silly. I do like to wear my compass when I snorkel for navigation practice, and I may switch to a different setup.

'Sides, if you watch, you can often buy them here or on SB for nothing. That's how I got mine.

Is there a compass that is as good or close to the sk7? Do people ever really sell an sk7 on the boards?

The SK6 is slimmer, lighter, and slips on and off easier. And costs much less.

What about the supertilt and maxtilts that claim to have a 30degree tilt potential? are they any where close to the suunto sk7 quality?
